It is astounding to know just how many garden bench styles exist nowadays. When you are ready to occupy that bare spot in your garden or patio with a few outdoor benches, dont look only at the ordinary outdoor storage bench. Even though they can be practical, a storage bench used outdoors will not always be as appealing as other sorts of garden benches would. Contribute elegant charm to your veranda with a classic bench or take a trendy approach with some reprocessed material or even metal benches. Many contemporary styles of benches are desired but these arent what you visualize when you hear someone say the word bench. Take for instance, an arbour bench or a tree bench. A bench for potting flowers is wonderful with a few planter boxes and allows you to keep all your gardening tools altogether as well as displaying your beautiful creations. Arbour benches make your garden space beautiful and convenient. A tree bench, also known as a curved around the tree bench, makes your landscaping the centerpiece of your home. The tree bench beckons everyone to sit and gather around.
Wood Finishes. Piano bench manufacturers offer a wood finish to match any finish provided by the piano manufacturer. It is very easy to get an exact match as long as you review the choices you are offered. When choosing a bench to match a mahogany piano you will need to bear in mind that there might be four shades of mahogany available from the bench manufacturer and you should select accordingly. Most bench manufacturers will offer a dark mahogany, medium mahogany (also called cherry), a brown mahogany, and a Steinway mahogany (they are popular enough and just a slight shade different that they have a shade named after the piano). Most finishes will come in a high gloss offering as well, though it will likely cost a little more money to get it. If your piano is a high gloss piano, such as a grand piano likely has, you should match it.
As it is with a lot of outdoor furniture, wooden benches are the most popular of garden and backyard benches. The most common woods for these benches are cedar, teak, pine, and cypress. Most of these garden and outdoor benches are very easily maintained, especially when made from cedar and teak. Cypress is similar to teak and cedar which also makes it very popular. All three of these woods are known for their durability and natural oils that help to keep the wood looking younger for longer. These oils also repel insects and protect from warping, rotting, or decay. These natural oils also keep insects at bay which can be positively wonderful in a garden or anywhere else in the great outdoors. These benches are also made of plastics, which also have their desirable qualities. Recycled plastic benches are virtually maintenance free and just as strong and durable as the wooden benches, which are great qualities for any occasion. These styles of benches also come in a variety of style and colors. The metal made benches are probably the least popular in the world of benches.
If you are looking for indoor wood benches for smaller rooms like a bathroom, then the best kind of bench to go for is a simple one. These particular indoor wood benches would need to be made using a durable material so that they dont rot from the water or the heat. Indoor wood benches that for a seating area all have beautiful features like ornate arms and maybe a back on it for the added comfort. Some of these benches will look a lot more stylish than just your plain wood bench as it will more than likely have an upholstered or leather seat. It will all depend on how you wish to use your indoor wood benches as to whether or not you prefer ones that are backless or that have backs to them as well if they have arms or not.
Taking this into account, if you are looking for a piano bench to go with your Steinway piano, the two most common options are either a wood top bench, or the above mentioned artist bench (the other option would be an upholstered top bench, which while more comfortable, does not highlight the elegance of the Steinway piano as much as a finished wood top bench does, and thus is less popular). Of the two choices, the most popular is the Jansen artist bench, for both its design and usability. If youve seen a Steinway piano in a concert hall, the adjustable artist bench with it is a Jansen (and its quality is such that it is perfect for performance halls, teaching studios, and home use).
